Evacuations are underway after a chemical plant explosion and fire in Custer County. Authorities say the Danlin plant northwest of Thomas caught fire early Thursday morning. The plant houses corrosive and toxic chemicals. Oklahoma Highway Patrol said residents down wind of the plant have been warned of the dangerous fumes and smoke. There are no injuries and no one was at the plant at the time. Thomas is about an hour west of Oklahoma City.
