Mayberry Makes First Team All-CUSA

Tulsa junior guard Taleya Mayberry was selected to the All-Conference USA First Team, as announced today by the league office.{}{}This was Mayberry's first career honor and fourth for the Golden Hurricane since joining the league in 2005.

Mayberry posted a team-leading 14.7 points per game and 89 assists, was second in steals with 45, and added 3.7 rebounds per game and had nine blocks this season.{}{}She ranked sixth in scoring, fourth in minutes played (35.8), fifth in free throw percentage (.775) and three-point field goals made (1.4), and seventh in assists among the league's best.

During the year, Mayberry scored double-figures in 22 contests, led TU in scoring 18 times, assists 17 times, steals seven times and rebounding three times.{}{}She also became the eighth women's basketball player in school history to score 1,000 career points, and is currently seventh on the all-time scoring chart.

Former TU standout Jillian Robbins was a first-team honoree in 2006 and 2007, while Larrissa Williams picked up the honor in 2010.
