Members of the Brookside Neighborhood Association are meeting Monday evening to discuss a recent influx of crime in the area.
Area residents are invited to attend the meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. over at the Southminster Presbyterian Church. The purpose of the meeting is to address recent crime that has affected the neighborhood, such as home invasions and sexual assaults on women.
"Brookside is a wonderful with great people and businesses," the event announcement describes. "We deserve to feel safe!"

"This is open to all Brookside Residentsmeaning not just members of the association," the event added. "We also hope to see members of other area neighborhoods that have been affected by the recent increase in crime."
