Microchip helps locate Dog's Owner after 2 Years

A dog was found in Broken Arrow after being missing from its owner for 2 years, thanks to a microchip.

According to Broken Arrow Police Departments' Facebook page, a female french bulldog was taken into custody by Animal Control after suspects were arrested for home burglaries this week.

Animal Control scanned the dog for a microchip and discovered that she had one registered. The dog reportedly had been stolen out of a home burglary in Houston about 2 years ago.

"The owner is elated to find out she's alive and well after all this time," says BAPD's facebook post. "More to come on this story. Chip your dogs!"
