Police found more bones in a drainage ditch near 81st Street and Riverside Drive.
Homicide detectives organized this morning's search after bones were found in the area two weeks ago. Tulsa officers were joined by the FBI, crews with the City of Tulsa's Stormwater Management and the Lighthorse Tribal Police.
"As soon as they popped that drain there they could look down and once we cleared the scene it just look like someone was living there," Sergeant Dave Walker said. "There was a leg bone and when we got down there we found a lot of the rest of his body."
Detectives believe the bones belong to an unidentified man in his 40s who appeared to be living in the drainage ditch. Personal items and tapestries were discovered in the area along with food.
Authorities told KTUL that at this time there appears to be no signs of foul play. But members of the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office will take over the investigation to determine a cause of death.
