More than 3,000 people were without power Wednesday morning in areas of Tulsa and Wagoner County.
Officials with the Public Service Company of Oklahoma told KTUL that the outage happened near 36th and Sheridan some time before 8 a.m. This is after a squirrel reportedly climbed onto a transformer and managed to knock the power out.
Initial information stated that the outage affected customers in Tulsa and Coweta. Tulsa customers had their power restored before 9 a.m.
PSO crews rerouted power to the areas that were affected.
