A motorcyclist is in custody after leading the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on a two minute pursuit Sunday morning.
The pursuit started on I-44 and ended near 31st and Mingo when the suspect crashed, OHP spokesperson George Brown said.
The suspect was reportedly combative when authorities apprehended him. The suspect has a long criminal history, starting before 2000, Brown said. His name has not yet been released.
The Highway Patrol has heard reports that the suspect was racing with another motorcyclist, but they have not yet been able to confirm that. At this time, investigators do not believe the motorcyclist was tied to Bikers Round-Up at Tulsa Raceway Park.
