Multiple Crews Called to Battle Tulsa House Fire in Heat

Multiple firefighters were called to a Tulsa residence after a fire broke out Friday afternoon.

Witnesses reported the fire after 4 p.m. near 51st and Sheridan. Crews with the Tulsa Fire Department responded and began their attack.

Authorities told KTUL that the fire began in the attic area of the residence. No individuals were inside, but crews did rescue a dog.

Twenty-eight firefighters assisted in the operations. That's because the heat from the fire and outside forced them to take breaks due to the heavy equipment used during these situations.

No injuries were reported. An investigation will determine the cause of the fire.
