Several people were displaced Thursday morning after a fire at a midtown apartment complex.
Fire crews were sent to the apartment complex located near 41st and Peoria. At the scene they discovered flames coming from one of the units.
Initial information states that the fire started in one of the units and spread to two other buildings. Those units were left uninhabitable by the time the fire was knocked down.
Officials with the Tulsa Fire Department told KTUL that a second group of firefighters were called on scene to help battle the blaze. Cold temperatures impeded the firefighters.
At this time no cause has been given. The Red Cross reports that 16 units are considerably damaged. It is working with the complex to relocate displaced residents.
