A large grass fire burned through 2,000 acres in Rogers and Craig County Thursday afternoon.
Multiple agencies remain on the scene of the grass fire Thursday in the southern area of Craig County. It began approximately around 9 a.m. and has spread north of Vinita. By late afternoon the fire was under control.
The Vinita Fire Chief says it was the quickest burning fire he's seen in his 30 years of fighting fires.

Officials with the Tri-District Fire Department said that 2,000 acres have burned.
KTUL also has learned that the Red Cross is on scene and providing assistance. Other area authorities continue to provide assistance.
At this time authorities have no reported any deaths.
