Muskogee Street Workers Find Dog Carrying Human Hand, Remains Identified
Muskogee police investigate after a dog finds and drops a human hand in one of the city's neighborhoods.
According to muskogeenow.com, police were called to 12th Street after the dog retrieved the hand. Officers located the body it belonged to close by.
Police told Muskogee Now that the body is indeed a human, but can't yet determine race or age.
"We think it's a man," said Pedro Zardeneta to reporters. "But animals have gotten to the body so we're not sure yet."
City street department workers reportedly found a dog with human remains in its mouth. The dog ran to a residence on the street.

Muskogee Police have positively identified the remains as 46-year-old Ronald E. Sanders.
The investigation continues as cause of death is still unknown.
Sanders has been missing since August 2.
