Officials with the National Weather Service confirmed this week that a second tornado touched down in LeFlore County on Sunday.
An initial report was released Wednesday that described an EF-1 tornado hit north of Octavia on April 27. It reportedly struck the town minutes after the Quapaw tornado.
The NWS sent a meteorologist to the area to survey damage north of the town. He discovered several trees that were snapped or uprooted.
Officials found that the primary area of damage was along Highway 259. Radar information reports that the tornado's path went for 1.5 miles and was 250 yards wide.
No injuries were reported in the tornado that touched down in LeFlore County.
