New Tool Helps Wagoner Deputies Catch Criminals

A new tool is helping Wagoner deputies catch criminals.

Deputies with the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office now have a new boat to help fight crime on area lakes. The county is located southeast of Tulsa.

Sheriff Bob Colbert told KTUL that the purchase was made after lake homes and docks were the site of recent burglaries. Fort Gibson Lake runs through the eastern half of Wagoner County.

Colbert added that it will help deputies catch a reported suspect easier after receiving a report. He said the new boat cost the sheriff's office $50,000.
