New Yorker Dies in Will Rogers Turnpike Accident
A New York resident was killed Thursday morning in a wreck on the Will Rogers Turnpike.
The accident was reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in Ottawa County four miles north and two miles west of Afton.
Troopers report the 2015 Volvo driven by the victim rear-ended another vehicle that was heading westbound on the Will Rogers Turnpike. As a result of the collision, the driver of the Volvo, was pinned for one hour and 17 minutes before he was extricated by the Afton Fire Department.
The victim, identified as Siarhei Kisliuk, 42, of Tonawanda, N.Y., was pronounced dead on scene. The driver in the other vehicle involved was not injured.
