Nobody Behind the Wheel? New Support For Self-Driving Cars

Self-driving cars are coming and Americans are getting behind the idea.

A new study finds that 56% of Americans had positive opinions of self-driving vehicles.

Though more education will be needed because 29% hadn't heard of it before the study conducted by the University of Michigan.

Many surveyed believe self-driving cars will provide benefits, like fewer crashes, decreased emissions, and lower insurance rates.

However, most were hesitant about getting in one, for now.

Only 11% said they were ready to go for a driverless ride.
