A group in Oklahoma is looking to bring nurses the recognition they deserve.
The Great 100 Nurses Foundation will honor nurses based on their concern for humanity, their contributions to the profession and for mentoring others.
The program got started in New Orleans, Louisiana, almost 30 years ago. The foundation has spread to Oklahoma, North Carolina and Texas.
A banquet is scheduled for September 30th at the Hard Rock, and the guest list includes community leaders, healthcare and government leaders and family to properly honor nurses.
Money raised at the banquet will support scholarship and advocacy programs and even go toward research for making life better.
If you would like to nominate a special nurse, just go to http://www.g100nurses.org/ The deadline is August 4th.
