Man Booked for Reported Drug Possession After Fleeing From Cops
A 27-year-old man was taken into custody early Thursday morning for possession of marijuana after he was discovered urinating behind a Tulsa Walmart.
Police booked Julio Ordorica into the Tulsa County Jail for the drug complaint and driving under a suspended license. This was after he was located urinating behind the Walmart at 21st and Yale by a TPD helicopter flying over the area.
Booking information states that Ordorica had been acting "suspiciously" when the helicopter was flying over. When the helicopter put a spotlight on him he proceeded to flee the area in a small red vehicle.
Ordorica reportedly stopped the vehicle a few blocks south of the Walmart. He was seen placing an unknown item in his truck and then continuing south on Yale again, according to the report.
Police were able to catch up with Ordorica and discovered he had been driving with a suspended license. A K-9 officer alerted them to illegal substances in the vehicle
"Officers located a plastic baggy containing marijuana in the console and a glass pipe next to the driver's seat," the report described. Additional drug paraphernalia also was located in the vehicle.
He is due in court at the end of the month.
