Oklahoma Highway Patrol authorities say a Sapulpa woman was drunkenly driving a golf cart overnight Sunday when she crashed into a bush and tree.
The suspect, Jessica Keeley, 31, was reportedly driving an EZ Go golf cart downhill at approximately 3:45 a.m. two miles west of Cleora near Creek and Tulsa Avenue, when she went off road into a private yard, striking a bush. She then continued 24 feet before striking a tree.
Authorities say the woman smelled of alcoholic beverages and was driving under the influence. She was transported by Lifeflight in stable condition to St. John's hospital in Tulsa.
The suspect will be charged with driving under the influence once she is released from the hospital, OHP trooper Ruben Hernandez said.
