OHP Trooper Involved in Fatal Tulsa Shooting Identified

The off-duty Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper involved in a fatal shooting in East Tulsa early Sunday has been identified.

According to a spokesman, 45-year-old Trooper Sheldon Robinson is a veteran with more than 16 years of service with OHP.

He has been placed on administrative leave as officials investigate the incident.

It happened at the Best Budget Inn at 34 S. Sheridan just after 1 a.m. Sunday.

The victim has been identified as Michael Troy Swatosh, 25, of Tulsa.

OHP officials said all other details remain under investigation.
