Oilers End Three-Game Skid With Home Win Over Rapid City

Teammates congratulate Ben Gordon following his first period goal Tuesday against Rapid City.

The Tulsa Oilers (4-4-1) ended a three-game slide with a 2-1 home ice victory over the Rapid City Rush (4-3-0) on Wednesday night.

Rookie Dan Bakala improved to 2-1-1 with a 27-save effort for Tulsa.

Tim Boron was sharp as well making 17 saves on 19 shots, but he falls to 3-2-0 on the season.

Ben Gordon and Matt Gingera scored for the Oilers (Gordon's goal extends his league-best point streak to nine games).

Jarrett Konkle's shorthanded goal was all of the offense in the game for the Rush.
