Oilers Unveil "Ugly Christmas Sweater" Jerseys

The Tulsa Oilers are fully embracing the holiday spirit during their home games Thursday, December 26 and Friday, December 27.

The Oilers will hit the ice on both nights wearing special "Ugly Christmas Sweater" jerseys. The brightly colored green and red jerseys make their debut as the Oilers face off against the Allen Americans at the BOK Center.

Friday evening at 7:35 p.m. the Oilers will show off the ugly sweaters one more time as they renew the longest rivalry in the CHL with the Wichita Thunder. Immediately following Friday's contest, the Oilers will hold a jersey auction at the ONEOK Club inside the BOK Center to allow the fans an opportunity to take home a piece of Oilers history.

For those folks who can't make it out to the game on Friday but would still like to bid on a jersey, absentee bids will be accepted through the following link:

The jerseys, designed by former Oilers captain Tyler Fleck and his HardNosed Apparel company, feature a red background with traditional holiday patterns of Christmas trees, reindeer, and snowflakes. The Oilers "Ice Man" crest and oil drop shoulder logos have been modified from the usual navy blue and maroon to a brighter red and green color scheme while the letters and numerals on the back of the jerseys appear in white with red and green outline.

All Oilers fans attending the games are encouraged to join in the holiday fun by wearing their favorite ugly Christmas sweater or other holiday attire.
