The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is continuing its investigation into the botched execution of convicted murderer Clayton Lockett.
The team of investigators is waiting on the independent autopsy report, which is being performed by the Southwestern Institute for Forensic Science.
According to a news release, once the autopsy report is complete, it will be added to the summary of findings and made available to the public.
The release follows the lawsuit initiated by a group of Oklahoma death row inmates on Wednesday. The lawsuit claims the death penalty procedure is unconstitutional and that the state is experimenting with inmates lives.
