Oklahoma Bridge Dedicated To President George W. Bush

Two Oklahoma lawmakers were with former President George W. Bush Monday morning to dedicate a bridge in his honor.Sen. David Holt of Oklahoma City and Rep. Mike Sanders of Kingfisher dedicated the bridge at Bush's Dallas office with the former President himself, presenting him with a replica of the sign that stands at the bridge.It is at the southbound I-44 bridge over the Red River, now called the President George W. Bush Bridge. The Oklahoma Legislature approved the naming in 2011 and ODOT placed the sign there this weekend. President George W. Bush won Oklahoma with over 60 percent of the vote in 2000, and won every one of Oklahoma's 77 counties in his 2004 re-election.
