Gas prices in Oklahoma are at a nine-month high, according to the latest numbers from AAA Oklahoma.
After languishing in the $3.44 to $3.46 price range all month, the Oklahoma average rose nearly three cents overnight. Some cities experienced more dramatic jumps in price, such as Tulsa where average pump prices shot up a dime yesterday to $3.473.
Gas prices often decline in June with the national average falling the previous three years at an average of about 20 cents per gallon. The recent turmoil in Iraq is likely to prevent that trend from repeating this year, according to AAA.
