The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office is conducting a crime prevention initiative now through Independence Day weekend focused on arresting active criminals and those with outstanding warrants.
The OCSO will be cracking down patrols in areas of high crime throughout the county.
"These programs have been very successful in the past due to the helpful tips and overall support of the citizens of Okmulgee County," said sheriff Eddy Rice.
The crime prevention initiative comes at this time because of the rise in property crime and thefts as the weather warms.
The OCSO says the number of burglaries in the area is at an all-time low.
Anyone wishing to contact the OCSO tipline can do so at 918-596-8332.
