One person has been confirmed dead in an accident north of Sapulpa on Highway 97.
Sapulpa Fire Department reported that the accident occurred between 71st and 81st Street on Highway 97.
Authorities on scene said that a white Toyota Camry was northbound on Highway 97 when, for an unknown reason, it crossed the median and hit a blue Ford Taurus going southbound on Highway 97.
A Sand Springs man inside the Taurus, Jarrod Wolfe, 35, was pronounced dead on scene. He was reportedly pinned for 10 minutes until he was freed by members of the Sapulpa Fire Department.
Also inside the Taurus was a woman and a child who were both transported in stable condition to a hospital.
The driver of the Camry, George Jones, 46, was transported to a hospital in stable condition as well.
The accident was reported around 3:30 p.m.
