One Dead, Another in Serious Condition in Wagoner Co. Shooting

One man is dead and another in serious condition after an argument escalated into violence in Wagoner County, Saturday evening.

According to a statement from Wagoner County Sheriff Bob Colbert, preliminary information shows that two brothers were arguing after drinking when the dispute escalated into violence.

32-year-old Jeremiah Richard Roberts was killed after his brother, Randall Eugene Grigg Jr., 33, shot him multiple times with a rifle before turning the gun on himself. The incident took place at a home near the 25000 block of E 121st St. South.

Nine children, aged between 1-14, and Grigg's spouse were in the residence during the incident.

Grigg was transported to a Tulsa area hospital and is listed in critical condition.

"I think it's a tragedy this has occurred, especially during the holiday season. My heart goes out to these poor children in the home that unfortunately had to witnessed this event," Colbert said in the statement. "I am working to have some mental health services made available to this family in the aftermath of this most unfortunate event."

The incident is still being investigated by the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office.
