      Online Holiday Shopping Tips

Two of the biggest shopping days of the year are coming up... Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Millions of Americans will be doing their holiday shopping with a click of the mouse.{} But before you start clicking and hand over your credit card info, Kiplinger.com has several steps to protect yourself.

      • Never shop online from a public Wi-Fi connection.{} Hackers can tap into hotspots, such as coffee shops, airports and hotels to capture your personal information.
      • Don't use your smart phone to shop.{} Again, it can be a playground for hackers
      • Don't use your debit card.{}{} It doesn't have the same liability protection as credit cards do.
      • Shop online only at known retailers.{} Don't let a search engine pick a site for you because it could be bogus.

If you have a question or concern about an online retailer, check and see what the Better Business Bureau says about it.{} BBB.org is also a good place to go to file a complaint.{}Go here for more online holiday shopping safety tips.
