ORU Hosts Bible Artifact Exhibit

Folks have the chance to see some rare biblical artifacts up close.

Oral Roberts University hosts Sacra Pagina which translates to "The Sacred Page".

This exhibit features 50 historic Bible texts and artifacts.

Organizer Amy Vandyke said these artifacts are of great significance and give Tulsans a rare look into the religious past.

"They can see anything from cuneiform tablets that are from 2500 BC, all the way up through some of the earliest New Testament on papayrus. Items that were on earlier such as a Geneva Bible and the Latin Vulgate. We also have a King James Bible from 1611," she said.

The exhibit runs from Wednesday through Saturday at the ORU Mabee Center.

There's no charge for admission.

Bible history expert. Dr. Jerry Pattengale will give a free lecture Wednesday only at 11:15 a.m. this morning.
