At 1:23 a.m., the U.S. Geological Survey reported a 3.0 magnitude earthquake seven miles northwest of Langston and 11 miles northeast of Guthrie.
The earthquake had a depth of approximately 3.1 miles.
Less than two hours later, at 3:15 a.m., a 3.5 magnitude earthquake was reported at a nearby location.
Again, it was felt seven miles northwest of Langston, and 12 miles northeast of Guthrie.
It also had a depth of 3.1 miles.
