Owasso Business Says God Helped, Not Obama's Government
Another local business tells Washington D.C. "here's your sign."
Hammco, Inc. has been in Owasso since 1976. It sits just off Highway 169 south of 76th Street north.
Business owners put up a large banner that reads, "We built this company with GOD's Help, not Obama's government."
KTUL.com noticed a photo of the sign on Facebook.
Hammco officials said the owner decided to put the sign up after President Obama's comments about business.
The president was speaking earlier this year in the context that America's infrastructure helps business grow, saying quote "If you've got a business, you didn't do that, somebody else made that happen."
The comment has ignited a furor in small business owners across the country.
Response to Hammco's sign has been positive, one employee said. People stop and take pictures on the side of the highway and soldiers have come in saying how much they appreciate it.
The company has no plans to take it down, but maybe after November's election. It was made by Quality Signs in Broken Arrow. According to Hammco's website, the company builds air cooled heat exchangers.
Back in August, Additive Systems of Broken Arrow posted a similar message of presidential disapproval. It said "We built this business without government help, and Obama can kiss our a**."
