Owasso Police Locate Girls Missing from School
Owasso authorities located two girls that were reported missing early Wednesday afternoon.
Information from the Owasso Police Department stated that the two girls were reported missing from Northeast Elementary around 1:30 p.m. The school is located north of the town.
Faculty members did not see the girls identified as 10-year-old Emry Wooten and 10-year-old Tawny Hudgins leave from the school. But their library books were found outside.
Officers were notified that the girls were missing from the school and a search was initiated. Tracking dogs and a helicopter from Tulsa was used to locate the girls.
"There is no indication at this time that any type of criminal activity occurred or was attempted," the statement described.
