Parker Frazier: Coming Full Circle

Former Bishop Kelley product Parker Frazier has come full circle: returning to Tulsa to pitch for the Drillers.

Stops in Casper, WY - Pasco, WA - Asheville, NC - {}and Modesto, CA - have all lead to a homecoming for Frazier, who is the Colorado Rockies 28th rated prospect.

The eighth-round pick out of high school is now{}having to juggle his responsibilities on the field with the distractions that come off the field for a home-town kid.

He's doing a good job of it, going 1-2 in 4 starts this season. {}The silver-lining is his ERA, which is 2.52 - pretty impressive at the AA level.Add his velocity and location to that ERA, and Frazier seems to be on the fast-track to the big leagues.

He should know what it takes to make a big league roster, too - his dad, George, pitched in the Majors for nine seasons, and is now part of the Rockies TV broadcast team.

If you're thinking a father calling his son's first big-league game is the stuff of movies... don't expect a Hollywood ending here!George says he plans on watching Parker's MLB debut - whenever it comes - as a fan, not a broadcaster.
