Paul Smith Is Teaching Young Football Players

When you play a sport your entire life the love and desire for the game really never leaves you.

Former Tulsa quarterback Paul Smith has played at the highest levels. He led the Golden Hurricane to their first Conference USA title and Liberty Bowl victory back in 2005.

After his playing days were over he had several dad's ask him to help develop their kids into quarterbacks.

So the former Jacksonville Jaguar QB started a camp.

"I think the best thing about the camp is that it doesn't matter the skill level or the expertise level, whether you have that or not." Smith said, "It's kind of like when I was in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars, every spring we would go back to the basics on installing the offense. So I kind of do my quarterback and receiver lessons the same way. We always go over the basics and fundamentals first."

Paul has three more winter sessions scheduled. They are on January the 20th, 27th and February 3rd. There are two different age groups, the varsity and junior varsity.

The varsity is made up of 8th graders through 12th graders. the times for the varsity are from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

The JV is made up of 4th graders through 7th graders. They go from 2:30 until 4:00.
