Pilot Dies in Plane Crash Near Ardmore

A 63-year-old male is dead and another is in critical condition following a aircraft crash around 2:15 p.m. Saturday one mile south of Ardmore Downtown Executive airport.

The small plane involved was a 1967 Piper Cherokee. The passenger was a 58-year-old male. He was transported to a hospital in Dallas.

The collision report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol does not specify what led to the deadly crash.

The crash was investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration along with OHP.
