Plane Lands Safely in Tulsa after Reporting Mechanical Issues
An American Airlines plane that declared an "Alert 2" due to mechanical issues has landed safely at Tulsa International Airport.
The plane landed around 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. It was heading from Dallas to Des Moines, Iowa, and stopped in Tulsa due to the mechanical issues.
An Alert 2 signifies serious issues within the flight, and multiple emergency crews responded to the scene before the flight landed, in case the worst happened.
A spokesperson with the TIA said there were 48 people on board the flight.
