Tulsa Officer on Leave Following Prostitution Sting

A Tulsa Police officer was placed on administrative leave Friday morning on allegations of soliciting sex during a prostitution sting.

Undercover officers placed Corporal David Turner under arrest Thursday on one count of engaging in prostitution. He was taken into custody at the Executive Inn on East 11th Street.

According to his booking report, Turner allegedly tried to pay an undercover female officer 40 dollars for sex.

"A search revealed a loaded firearm on the suspect," the arresting officer described in his report. Officers booked him on an additional complaint for possession of a firearm during a felony.

On Friday morning, TPD issued a statement which stated:

"The Tulsa Police Department received information regarding alleged criminal activity involving Turner and in return launched an investigation which included the Tulsa Police Departments Special Investigations Division and agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs"

Further information regarding his arrest is expected to be released at a later time.
