Victim Identified in Fatal West Tulsa Drive-By Shooting

Detectives are continuing their investigation Thursday into the death of a young man following a drive-by shooting.

Detectives stated it occurred late Tuesday night around 11 p.m. near 5000 S. 36th West Avenue. On Thursday morning, official identified the man killed as 23-year-old Kendall Austin.

Officials at the scene told KTUL that one group of suspects were in a dark-colored SUV and another were on the front porch of the residence. Moments later the incident escalated to a gun battle, killing Austin.

Police stated the SUV was able to flee the scene and the suspects are still being sought.
