Crews Respond to School After Early Morning Crash

A woman is recovering Thursday after wrecking a vehicle into a north Tulsa school.

Police were called to the scene early Thursday morning after receiving reports from neighbors in the area.

At the scene officers found that the woman had crashed a white vehicle into the front steps of Celia Clinton Elementary. This was in the area near Harvard and Seminole.

Initial reports state that the woman took some over the counter cold medicine that reportedly made her feel sleepy. Moments later she crashed into the planter near the front door of the school.

An spokesperson with Tulsa Public Schools told KTUL that classes were not interrupted after the wreck. Repairs will take place as soon as weather permits.
