Marico Ferrick

A Tulsa man is behind bars after police say he brutally assaulted his girlfriend twice in two months.

The latest incident happened late Thursday afternoon at a home in the 4700 block of S. Braden St.

According to a booking report, 19-year-old Marico Ferrick got into an argument with the victim and in the middle of it, slammed a dining room chair onto a table, breaking the glass.

Glass pieces flew apart and landed next to a 10-month-old child.

Police said the tirade continued, the victim locked herself in a bathroom and Ferrick kicked down the door, and assaulted her.

He then demanded the victim's car keys, pinned her down and stuck two fingers down her throat to block her airway, the report stated.

Ferrick left with the keys, took the 10-month-old baby and was later found at his father's hotel room, where he was taken into custody.

According to police, this was the second domestic assault on the same victim in two months.

Ferrick is in jail on a $250,000 bond, charged with two counts of domestic assault and battery and robbery by force and fear.
