Woman Fell Out of Vehicle, Rolled Around on the Ground, Police Say

April Brady

A 27-year-old woman was arrested over the weekend in downtown Tulsa after police found her inside her van under the influence of alcohol.

Tulsa Police placed April Brady under arrest just before 2 a.m. Sunday on charges of public intoxication. She was found near the 400 block of West Archer Street in a white van.

According to Brady's arrest report, an officer witnessed her fall out of the vehicle pulled over on the westbound lane and began "rolling on the ground."

Two officers approached Brady to check on her well-being and observed her staggering around and slurring her words. They also described a strong odor associated with an alcoholic beverage upon her breath.

During their stop the officers spoke to her boyfriend who told them she was "trashed." After handcuffs were placed on her she began to cuss at the officers and resist arrest.

According to the police report, she used her right leg to kick the officer behind her in the leg. The officer pinned her against the car until he opened the door and placed her inside.

Brady also was charged with assault and battery on a police officer. She is due to appear in court later this month.
