Post-Season Run Over For Golden Eagles

The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles were trying to do one thing Wednesday night in Ogden, Utah. Beat the Weber State Wildcats which would have accomplished a couple of things. It would have put ORU in the Final Four of the Tournament and avenge an earlier season loss to the Cats on senior day.

ORU Head Coach Scott Sutton said this Weber State team was the best team in the tournament and they proved it Wednesday night beating Oral Roberts 83-74.

The Golden Eagles pulled to within 57-55 in the second half, but the Wildcats went on a 9-0 run. They led by as many as 13 points in the closing moments.

Seniors Damon Bell-Holter and Warren Niles see their careers come to an end with the loss. ORU finishes with a mark of 20-15. It's their second straight 20-win season.
