Tulsa Judge Decides Pastor Will Stand Trial in Molestation Case
Court proceedings have ended this week for a pastor facing multiple lewd molestation charges.
Both sides in Damien Bonner's court case wrapped up preliminary hearings Wednesday. He's was arrested in May after allegations surfaced he had been involved in an inappropriate relationship with an underage girl.
Court records indicate that members of the courtroom heard from three witnesses earlier this week. The Tulsa judge over the case decided that Bonner would stand trial beginning July 24.
Previous reports from KTUL state that Bonner faces a total nine counts of lewd molestation. Authorities were made aware about his relationship with the girl who told police in April she had been sexually abused by a man, identified as Bonner, she met at church.
Bonner remains at the Tulsa County Jail on a $450,000 bond. A bond reduction was denied during a previous court hearing.
