QB Competition Begins In Stillwater

STILLWATER, Okla. The pressure is on quarterback Clint{}Chelf as Oklahoma State opens spring practice.

Offensive coordinator Todd Monken says Chelf needs to show{}during the first two weeks of practice that his experience from{}being Brandon Weeden's backup for the past two seasons has put him{}ahead of J.W. Walsh and freshman Wes Lunt.Chelf played only sparingly last season when Oklahoma State was{}easily ahead in a blowout. Monken says his extra time in the{}program and on the field should make him the front-runner to be the{}Cowboys' next starter.Coach Mike Gundy says ideally he'll be able to name a starter by{}the end of spring practice.
