Search crews continue to canvass an area of Rogers County for the remains of a woman who hasn't been seen since 1996.
Officials with the Rogers County Sheriff's Office have been leading the effort to search for Dione Fox's remains since earlier this week. It's taking place in the Tiawah area just southeast of Claremore.
RCSO Public Information Office Jerry Smittle told KTUL that a reward is now being offered for anyone with information that will lead them to an exact location of Fox's remains or the eventual arrest of a person suspected of taking part in the cold case. It's valued at $1,000.
Previous reports state that Fox went missing in 1996 after she didn't appear for a court hearing. Her abandoned vehicle was discovered in an area of Missouri just a few months later.
Investigators began receiving tips from various individuals that her remains were possibly in an area of land in Tiawah. Various agencies from the Claremore Police Department to the Wagoner County Emergency Management Agency have been assisting the RCSO.
Anyone with information should contact the Rogers County Sheriff's Office tipline at (918) 341-3620.
