Officials with the Muskogee Creek Nation will gather for a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday afternoon for River Spirit Casino's Margaritaville.
It's a project estimated at $355 million for a new 26-story hotel and convention space along the Arkansas River in south Tulsa.
"We have a bold vision and are glad to be doing our part regarding the Arkansas River," says Pat Crofts, CEO, Muscogee Creek Nation.
According to previous reports, the new project will add 800 new jobs and 1,800 construction jobs.
Muskogee Creek Principal Chief George Tiger, Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett and Tulsa County Commissioner Karen Keith are among the scheduled speakers at Tuesday's event.
The ceremony will start at 1 p.m.
