Rogers County Relatives to Appear Before Judge on Child Abuse Charges
Two Rogers County residents are due in court Wednesday morning on charges of underage sexual abuse.
Jessica Cleveland and Braeden Hendershott are due in court Wednesday for their preliminary hearing.
Hendershott faces six counts including second degree rape, forcible sodomy, furnishing an alcoholic beverage to a minor and lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16. Cleveland was charged with furnishing an alcoholic beverage to a minor and enabling child sex abuse.
Both were arrested back in November following an investigation into a report that a 14-year-old girl had been having sexual relations with Hendershott. Cleveland had been allegedly providing underage girls to have sex with her nephew.
According to the affidavit, Cleveland, Hendershott's aunt, allegedly took the girl and two others to his apartment in Owasso leaving the girls to have sex with him. The girls stepfather told officers that this had happened on several occasions in which Cleveland also provided alcohol.
The young girl's stepfather told police that Cleveland was a family friend who the girls had met at a church in Catoosa. As their friendship grew, they began discussing sex in which Cleveland brought up Hendershott.
She encouraged the young girl to have sex with her nephew and would set up meetings for them to "hook up," according to court documents.
