"Roy D. Mercer" Mastermind Brent Douglas Drops By KTUL
By Dan Phillips
Former KMOD Morning Zoo host Brent Douglas stopped by KTUL Thursday morning for a visit.Douglas, the man behind the infamous Roy D. Mercer, retired from Tulsa radio in October. He's become involved with charity work in the recent weeks.During a visit in February, Douglas' gag of rolling off the news desk ended with a pretty hard thud. The impact with hard concrete left him with a minor concussion."I don't even remember the rest of the show," he said jokingly about the February fall.Fortunately, there are DVRs and recorders in the station that captured the moment as it happened.
