Ruptured Water Line Floods West Tulsa Neighborhood

A West Tulsa water main break diverted traffic and shut down water to a neighborhood for hours.

It happened late Monday morning on S. 33rd W. Ave and W. 47th St.

Tulsa Firefighters and police officers were on scene to divert traffic and close off the neighborhood.

Crews were able to turn off the line, but only after water gushed onto the road.

Residents there reported water went into driveways and garages.

No word on what caused the rupture.
