There's a familiar sight and sound outside of stores across the area once again.
It's time for the Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle Holiday fundraising drive.
The charity officially launched this year's campaign Thursday afternoon at Reasor's in Bixby.
Salvation Army major Jim Taylor said the organization hopes to raise more than $650,000 dollars.
Reasor's got the giving going by kicking in $5,000 dollars.
Taylor said all the money will go to help needy families this holiday and other families through the next year.
The Red Kettle program began in San Francisco back in 1891.
